Vegas: The Final Day

Our last nature excursion of the trip was to head up to Mt. Charleston. One the way we passed through many levels of vegetation, and of course had to stop and take photos with the Joshua Trees. We even found an art show and a duck with
a mullet along the way!

While at the top of Mt. Charleston, we stopped at a little restaurant to eat. By the time we were finished it started to rain again. We headed a ways down the mountain and then had to turn back, as the sudden sleet and snow had caused and accident and the road home was now closed.
Did I mention that we had experienced temperatures from 101 degrees to 44 degrees within a hour or so?
Our last casino tour of the trip was the Bellagio. We really wanted mom to see the Conservatory there because most of the decorations are made of plant materials. In the past I have seen this place decorated with themes like trains, a Christmas Village and animals, but imagine my surprise when we walked in and it had an Alice in Wonderland/Wizard of Oz feel!
I LOVE hot air balloons!
Does anyone else think of the movie "Medicine Man" when they see these?
After a wonderful home-cooked meal with the whole family, we took one last drive down the strip on our way to the airport.
We couldn't have asked for a more perfect trip!
xoxo,
