Due to all the hustle and bustle the previous week, we decided it would be nice to ring in the new year in a very low-key way, just the two of us. After all, we celebrated in a very similar way 10 years ago at the turn of the millenium. (Actually, there was a little more suspense then as we watched the world ring in the new year, waiting for the Y2K bug to strike. We even filled the bathtubs and bought a jug of water in case things went really wrong! LOL!)
So this year we decided to treat ourselves to a nice dinner at home (king crab legs, steak and mashed potatoes) and have a Wii competition. (Although we had just received the Wii for Christmas and had already played Wii Fit, we agreed that we would not play MarioKart or Wii Sports until New Year's just to make it a bit more fun.)
