Make It Monday: June Goals

Remember how I used to make goals and share them with you?
 Hmmm...me too.
I wonder what happened to that feature?
It's safe to say that I have had goals, lots of them.
I've accomplished some, and put others on the back burner for a while.
The most important of those goals is below:

Make it through the months.
One. Day. At. A. Time.
I'm happy to report, so far so good! :)
In fact, I'm really looking forward to my summer vacation,
so here are the things I'm counting on to keep me occupied in June:

Goal #1

About a month ago, I stumbled upon the 31 Things class by Big Picture Classes. The class is taught by the amazing Ali Edwards, whom I have been following for about 10 years now. (For those of you who are familiar with my Week in the Life or December Daily albums, Ali is the mastermind behind both.) This class is about writing things down, it's about getting to the heart of my story. Sure, there is a photo on each page, but the focus is on the words. So far I've purchased a simple album, developed photos for each topic, and given myself plenty of room for recording the details. I'm only a few prompts into this class, but my goal is to have a completed album containing all 31 stories by the end of the month.

Goal #2

My second goal is a goal that involves a super-inspirational friend and her 30 Day Journal Challenge. Once again, Janel from Runs with Scissors is hosting the event on her blog, free to all those who wish to take part in the fun. This year my goal is to finish ALL 30 days! (I came in at 18 and 23 days in previous years). Come play along, it's as simple and quick as you want it to be, and great fun too!
Here are my first three days. (Mine are individual 6x6 pages because I'll be placing them in my Project Life Journal.)
If you'd like to play along,
please let me know so I can check out your pages too!

Goal #3

One of my very favorite parts of this time of year is the abundance of fresh fruits and veggies in markets, at roadside stands and in our gardens. My goal is to take full advantage of the fresh foods and enjoy eating healthy this month.
(Quinoa with garlic, cilantro, tomatoes, peppers and grilled chicken is one of my favorite new meals.)

Goal #4

My last goal for June is one that I have been struggling with for months: the Couch to 5k Running Plan. I downloaded the app for my ipad in January and spend a good 4 and a half weeks working my way toward a 5K run. In February, it all fell apart. I started up again in April and lasted about 3 weeks, then it fell apart again. This time I need to stick with it. I feel so much better when I run, why do I have such a hard time with this one?

What are your goals for June?
Please share with me so we can cheer each other on!
xoxo,
jenny-lynn
